Part 1 – Project Overview
Tempi di consegna
The lead time for this sourcing order, which included packaging design and logo engraving, was remarkably short: only two months grazing.
The expedited timeline was possible due to the availability of general stock for wholesale orders, which enabled swift fulfillment.
Spot products allow the customer to make quick purchases before shipping. Shieldon’s manufacturer and trading combination provided one of the best wholesale services, ensuring efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Come è nato il progetto
The project started with a meeting with the customer at the Canton Fair, one of the world’s largest and most diverse trade exhibitions.
This event, held twice yearly in Guangzhou, China, attracts exhibitors and buyers from electronics, textiles, machinery, and consumer goods.
The customer, from a Middle Eastern country, sought to source multi-tools for his retail business. After comparing multiple suppliers at the fair, he found that most required significant time to produce goods, even though they offered ODM customization.
Ultimately, the customer chose to work with Shieldon due to the advantage of spot products, which ensured an immediate supply without production delays. Additionally, Shieldon provided customization options to meet the customer’s specific needs.

The Shieldon professionals engraved each item with the customer’s logo and packaged them in blister cards for a professional presentation.

Part 2 – Reason why the customer chose us
Supplied blister card packaging
Shieldon offers customized blister card packaging to meet specific branding requirements.
In addition to spot products with standard wholesale packaging, tailored solutions are available for customers looking to sell products under their own brand.
An in-house graphic design team works with provided PDF or EPS files to create blister card packaging that aligns with the purchased products.
A mold fee of $150 per model is required for custom double-sided blister packaging. Based on FOB Shenzhen, standard pricing includes regular packaging with one logo engraving but excludes custom packaging costs. Detailed packaging dimensions and printing specifications are requested to provide accurate cost estimates.
The process for custom blister packaging follows a structured timeline:
- 15 days for blister mold creation.
- 7 days for sample delivery via DHL and approval.
- 15 days for paper card and blister shell production.
- 7 days for final blister packaging assembly.
Regular packaging is recommended for faster delivery. The Shieldon team is fully equipped to ensure a seamless experience and provide support.
Supplied spot products
Shieldon provides wholesale spot stock inventory products, offering immediate purchase options for businesses seeking to restock or expand their product range quickly.
The inventory features a diverse selection of high-quality tools and accessories, ready for fast dispatch to address urgent demands.
This shipment included 8,409 pieces, carefully packed into 203 cartons, with a total weight measured in grams and a volume of 4.962 cubic meters.
The packaging was designed to ensure an efficient supply, ideally suited for fulfilling large orders.
A sample of the MC-KA-62 multi-hammer was included, packed, and prepared for testing, allowing for direct quality and performance evaluation.
The sourcing services accommodate custom requirements such as logos or labels, ensuring tailored solutions for individual needs. Quick turnaround times are a priority, with products delivered on schedule and according to exact specifications. For further details or to place an order, the team is available to assist promptly.
We supplied logo engravement
Shieldon offers laser engraving services for branding, enabling businesses to personalize spot stock inventory with their unique logos. In a recent order, the quantity of item MC-PA-31 was adjusted to 90 pieces without logo engraving.
Despite this change, a 3% discount was applied to the total order as a gesture of appreciation for ongoing support.
Orders are finalized after the provided PI and deposit are signed, ensuring prompt delivery within eight days of payment.
Inventory is meticulously managed, with orders fulfilled on a first-come, first-served basis to account for limited stock. This system ensures efficient, reliable service for every client.
Part 3 – Story of Manufacturing Process
Laser engraving services let customers personalize spot stock inventory with unique brand logos. In a recent order, the quantity of item MC-PA-31 was adjusted to 90 pieces without logo engraving. Despite this, a 3% discount was offered on the total order as a gesture of appreciation for the customer’s continued support.
The engraving process used advanced laser technology to ensure precise and high-quality branding. Customers submitted their logo files, which were carefully engraved onto the products. This service enhanced the items’ visual appeal and professional branding, making them ideal for resale or promotional use.
Customers finalized their purchase by signing the provided PI and submitting the required deposit to ensure smooth order processing. Once payment was confirmed, orders were processed swiftly, and delivery was completed within eight days, providing timely service for all customers.
Due to limited stock availability, inventory management prioritized a first-come, first-served approach. This system enabled the prompt fulfillment of orders while maintaining a balanced stock level to meet ongoing demand effectively.
The engraving service was committed to flexibility and customer satisfaction by accommodating specific branding requests. Customers received personalized products aligned with their business needs, supported by efficient service and attention to detail. This approach ensured every product met high-quality standards while reflecting the unique identity of each customer’s brand.
The customer also chose a model multi-hammer model and asked if the specifications could be provided. The team was happy to assist and confirmed that all specifications and function descriptions were available in the system.
They simply needed to export the data, which displayed the functions. Most multi-tools generally have similar functions, including:
- Pinze ago
- Pinze normali
- Tronchese
- Corkscrew
- Serrated blade
- Apri bottiglia
- Sega
- File
- Flat screwdriver
- Life hammer
- Lama del coltello
- Apriscatole
- cacciavite a stella
- Rope cutter
- Awl/Thread loop
- Forbici
- Governate
- pietra focaia
- Compass
- Whistle
Since the component steels are the same shape, their functions remain consistent, ensuring quality control. Stock products are intended for wholesale businesses with quick turnover. If customers seek a special offer, the team welcomes them to consider the OEM/ODM service.
The team also offered the customer stock folding and fixed-blade knives, but the customer declined, stating that selling knives was illegal in their country and considered dangerous.
Therefore, they did not purchase stock knives. However, the customer selected six multi-tool models with specific color handles, including multi-pliers and multi-hammers, from the available stock. The team then checked the stock quantity before responding to the customer.
The team sent the customer a quote, and once it was accepted, the customer transferred a deposit. The team then held the customer’s preferred stock, ensuring no one else could take the requested quantity.
In addition to the regular OEM/ODM services, the team also offered packaging design, printing, and logo engraving for stock wholesale services. The team could laser engrave even if the stock products were already manufactured and could not be altered. For packaging, the team could assist the customer with design and printing and then pack the products in the customer’s custom boxes.
The customer requested blister card packaging, and the team provided examples of previous shapes for reference.
Blister card packaging is popular in OEM/ODM services, particularly for retail products like tools, electronics, and small household items. This packaging includes a clear plastic cavity, or “blister,” that securely holds the product and is attached to a printed card backing via heat or adhesive sealing.
The blister’s transparency lets customers view the product directly, increasing its appeal. The packaging can be customized with tailored graphics, including branding, product details, and promotional content, making it an effective way to enhance marketing and differentiate products on retail shelves.
When the team prepared to pack the multipliers, they noticed a balance issue. If the multipliers were hung on a shelf using the euro slot, the left side was heavier, causing the product to tilt. To fix this, they repositioned the screwdriver bits to balance the weight, ensuring the packaging hung straight.
The customer wasn’t too concerned, knowing the product would sell quickly, and they appreciated the team’s attention to detail.
The team also discussed other packaging details with the customer, such as text (in an unfamiliar language), color choices (to respect religious sensitivities), and the overall product design, which included a pouch and screwdriver bits.
Once all packaging details were finalized, the team instructed the printing factory to start production, as the stock was ready to ship. Next, they focused on packaging materials.
This packaging was the final design for one of the customer’s purchased products. The customer did not report any significant issues with it. The team demonstrated how the product and accessories were arranged and how consumers would view it. To save costs, the customer requested minimal decoration on the packaging.
Due to the urgency of launching sales, the team expedited the process to meet the customer’s timeline. The blister card packaging provided excellent protection, keeping products safe even when hung on supermarket shelves.
Blister card packaging securely holds items in place, reducing damage during transit and handling. Its tamper-evident design adds security and reassures consumers about product integrity.
This cost-effective solution is ideal for large-scale production, as it supports automation and cuts labor costs. Commonly used in retail environments like hardware stores and electronics outlets, it effectively showcases products while offering protection. The shift towards eco-friendly materials, like biodegradable plastics, is making blister packaging more sustainable.
The customer also requested the design and printing of 300 display boxes for promotion and display in the supermarket. Following the customer’s direction, the team designed the display box using the original packaging elements, including product function descriptions. The customer approved the design and requested immediate printing and shipment alongside the products.
One important task was the laser engraving of the logo on the multi-pliers. The team provided the customer with several options for logo placement: on the pliers themselves or on the handle, either horizontally or vertically. The customer chose the horizontal engraving.
This highlighted that the team could offer semi-customization through logo engraving and packaging adjustments even with stock products. Although stock products might be widely available, adding branding can significantly boost sales and improve the product’s reputation. The team is committed to supporting all customers’ business needs.
Part 4 – Shipment and Summary
The team demonstrated professionalism and customer focus by providing detailed packing lists for every order, enabling customers to verify purchases accurately. In a recent transaction, they included an updated quotation and pro forma invoice, requesting prompt payment to the company’s bank account to ensure swift shipment after remittance.
They also asked about specific shipping mark requirements to customize the service.
The team communicated clearly and invited customers to contact them with questions. They confirmed the consignee, notified party details on the bill of lading, and addressed requests for telex releases.
All necessary documents, including packing lists, invoices, and bills of lading, were carefully prepared and reviewed before being sent to the shipping agency.
The team’s attention to detail extended to verifying product specifications, such as confirming inventory item sizes and barcode details. They also addressed product inspection requirements, offering solutions that balanced quality control with timely delivery.
By maintaining transparency and attention to detail, the team reinforced its reputation as a reliable and professional partner in the industry.
The team ensured the spot goods, including multi-pliers and other selected items, were carefully packed in sturdy cartons for efficient shipment, meeting customer specifications and ensuring safe transport.
To ensure accuracy and customer satisfaction, we properly affixed shipping marks to all sides of the cartons and verified them using item MC-PA-32.
Amid high demand, the team coordinated seamlessly between production and shipping to meet tight deadlines. Despite large orders and logistics challenges, they efficiently prepared, packed, and shipped the goods on time.
After the goods were dispatched, the team promptly provided the bill of lading, ensuring full transparency and traceability of the shipment. Clear and consistent communication was maintained with the client throughout the process, addressing any inquiries regarding packaging details or shipping documentation. The team worked diligently to ensure that every aspect of the order was handled precisely, from the initial pro forma invoice to final delivery arrangements.
